Isolated from healthy Chinese infants and toddlers, deposited in the General Microorganisms Collection Center of China Committee for Culture Collection of Microorganisms (CGMCC No.15032). Bifidobacterium longum CCFM760 features excellent acid‑producing and acid‑resistance properties, as well as strong adhesion and colonization capacities. It can significantly increase fecal water content and small‑intestinal propulsion rate, shorten defecation time, boost intestinal peristalsis, alleviate colonic mucosal inflammation, and regulate serum levels of constipation‑related gastrointestinal peptides. Its efficacy is comparable to the internationally renowned strain Bifidobacterium animalis BB‑12, while it outperforms Bifidobacterium animalis BB‑12 and phenolphthalein in small‑intestinal propulsion rate. It effectively promotes defecation and optimizes intestinal microecological environment.
