CCFM689 shows an adhesion index of 22.0±2.0 bacteria/cell, far exceeding 1.5±0.6 bacteria/cell of Bifidobacterium animalis BB‑12. Its 2‑week colonization rate hits 25 %, outperforming BB‑12.
